Upnor Castle stands on the banks of the Medway and comprises a triangular water bastion, fronting a rectangular structure that housed the castle’s living quarters. At either end of the castle wall, facing the Medway, are the North and South Towers.

Upnor Castle is located on the bank of the River Medway, off High Street in Upper Upnor. 29 miles east of London on the A207-A226-A228.

High Street Upper Upnor.

Lower Upnor and Upper Upnor are two small villages in Medway, Kent, England. They are in the parish of Frindsbury Extra on the western bank of the River Medway.
