Whitstable

Whitstable Harbour fish market.

The Old Neptune, Marine Terrace, Whitstable,

Whitstable Harbour.

A delightful and very popular old coastal town. Famous for oysters and seafood but also with a vibrant contemporary arts scene.  With fisherman's huts and pretty weatherboard cottages, in streets with eccentric names such as "Squeeze Gut Alley" Whitstable has plenty of charm and character.

Whitstable, in Kent, England, is the home of the famous Whitstable Oyster - which earlier was a major source of income.

Whitstable's main claim to fame is its oysters which remain an intrinsic part of this sea town's character and are celebrated every July at the Oyster Festival.
